Chris Miles

In the late 1980s Chris commenced his career working for an engineering consultancy, carefully acquiring his management skills whilst at the same time developing his technical knowledge through day-release attendance at College and then University over a number of years. This background in design led Chris to move in to Client-side Project Management at EC Harris in the 1990s where his knowledge was widened significantly to cover the entire end to design, procurement, project delivery and follow on facilities management stages in a project’s lifecycle – across all disciplines. Chris left EC Harris in 1998, joining a small forward looking business to start, and head up, their Construction Division. Within 8 years this business had grown to £100m PA turnover and went on to double this again before the recession took its toll.

Chris joined BB Contracts in 2015 bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience that fitted perfectly in to the organisation that Mark and Lee had built – complementing their business plan and setting up the business for its planned future path. In 2020 Chris became Managing Director.

In his spare time…

Chris loves to relax with a good glass of red wine. From time to time he will pick up some tools in order to demonstrate to his family that he still has the DIY skills he used to have; health and safety always in mind however! Chris is a music lover and has been known to dazzle crowds with his dancing skills on many occasions. Leisure time is important to Chris; he loves planning holidays and has often been praised by friends and family alike for his organisational skills in this respect, even if it does annoy his wife immensely. Never known to make a fool of himself, Chris is adept at explaining away his more peculiar social moments as blips in his otherwise unblemished character.
