In the late 1980s Chris commenced his career working for an engineering consultancy, carefully acquiring his management skills whilst at the same time developing his technical knowledge through day-release attendance at College and then University over a number of years. This background in design led Chris to move in to Client-side Project Management at EC Harris in the 1990s where his knowledge was widened significantly to cover the entire end to design, procurement, project delivery and follow on facilities management stages in a project’s lifecycle – across all disciplines. Chris left EC Harris in 1998, joining a small forward looking business to start, and head up, their Construction Division. Within 8 years this business had grown to £100m PA turnover and went on to double this again before the recession took its toll.
Chris joined BB Contracts in 2015 bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience that fitted perfectly in to the organisation that Mark and Lee had built – complementing their business plan and setting up the business for its planned future path. In 2020 Chris became Managing Director.
